Centre of our attention
Starting with a ventilation heatpump system, we first analyzed the current design. The existing system was in need of a redesign. Based on the analysis, it became clear what improvements were needed.
What we designed
The focus was on the thermostat and ventilation panel, as these were the main touch points the user would control the system with. To explore the field, three low fidelity concepts were made and elaborately tested with participants of the target group.
The insights coming from these tests led to another redesign, which was of higher fidelity. Now the design was tested to gather its strengths and weaknesses. We analyzed these results to come up with a final proposal for the company.
Why we designed this
The design and report we deliver to the company will be considered by them as advice to increase the usability of their current product’s interface. Whereas the company does not have (much) time to get in touch with their end-users, we had the time to not only talk to them, but also to do user tests with them. This resulted in valuable insights for the company, which they can use in their coming product development.
