Bachelor projects
Minor Brain & Mind
Due to my interest in the brain and behavior that results from it, I followed courses on Cognitive Neuroscience, The Developing Brain, Brain in Trouble & Mind and Machine.
Design in Wood
During this course, we built a stair where every part contributes to creating a static equilibrium.
The Flexpander
For Schilte, a furniture factory specialized in furnishing daycares and schools, we designed this flexible workplace-divider. With the focus on universities, they can enter this new market.
Materializing and integrating
Here, the first part of the design process was left out. We started with the general concept of a distance meter, powered by hand with a crank. Great depth was expected considering the choice of material, electronics, production and assembly. But also about the manufacturing cost, mechanical properties, design of the product and the use.
Circular Product Design
In this elective, we redesigned the Waka Waka, a portable solar lamp, to increase it’s circularity. We came up with a circular business plan and improved the product itself.
Design Visualization
Here I practiced with drawing on paper and drawing & editing digitally. It was very useful to learn how to materialize parts.
